Or so it would appear.
However, the Easter Bunny came.
It was touch and go there for a bit, but yes, she decided a visit to our house would happen.
She also decided to make a management decision this year. She decided that the hunt, well, the hunt just wasn’t going to happen. After all, no one had asked about the egg colouring that has been the tradition. No one asked when we were going to do it. No one showed any interest. And while she was game, it appeared that no one else was.
So, instead, she said "not gonna happen".
And she decided to lay it all out, right there, on the table, high enough away from the dogs (chocolate is not good for them at all!!) and then stood back to watch and see what happened.
And there it sits.
Still.
On the table.
It would appear that the Easter Bunny is no longer needed in this house. It would appear that the horrible experience of last year, where 3 missing coloured eggs were discovered in May, well after Easter, and the memory of cracking them open, and the smell, well, it was quite possibly too much to bear.
Happy Easter!
What am I going to do with 2 dozen boiled eggs is now the question?
